Volatility on the nose and the sharp bite on the finish confirms it. Very ripe fruits with a hint of raisin. There is a touch of that strong garrigue note you want from a Gigondas but it's mostly overwhelmed in service of ripe fruit delivery. Lacks acidity so it sort of wallows on the palate, feeling fat and heavy. Skip.

This is ready right now. Starts a bit muted, so let it sit in the glass for 20 minutes (use venturi) and watch it evolve throughout the evening. Light/elegant on the palate, but very round as you swish it. Very well made. Starts with notes of cedar, garrigue, and plum. Then came the currants. Then came the anise. Some mild minerality. Finished with mature fruits. Again so smooth, balanced, and a pleasure to see it evolve throughout the evening. Loved it.

either i need to drink more gigondas, or this producer and/or vintage are superb.
gravel, blood, cherries, leather on the nose and on the palate. this was complex and mouthcoating. decadent but thoughtful at the same time. i adored this wine.

Great value. Give it about 1 hour to open before drinking.

Great pairing with standing rib roast Christmas dinner, PNP, took about 20 minutes to really open up so consider decanting.
