Medium lemon, very bright, with fine beads. Bread yeasty aromas and lemon. Very ripe lemon fruit flavours, even candied, and creamy, and a slight sense of soft clay soils, with slight yeasty characters showing up later. Fair finish

The opener to Christmas Eve festivities with family. Lovely -- both this sparkler and the evening. Softened effervescence and straw hued in the glass, this is fully matured and likely won't get any better. Pears, apples, slight citrus and brioche. Nice toast in the finish. The 2012, which we had afterwards, suffered in comparison.

Found another bottle in the cellar, and shows how well this producer's even entry level wines stand up with some additional bottle age, nice clean, golden Apple, brioche, pears, citrus, palate is a joy! The effervescence has subsided to yield a fresh harmonious mouth feel with generous fruit and acidity

Certainly feels like it's peaking now, nice evolution on the notes, with hazel nut, brioche and apple, fruit has a mature feel on the palate with lively mousse and zippy acidity keeping it fresh

Excellent - light lemon and toasty, yeasty notes in the nose. More cream and bread in the finish. Perfect sparkler and better than most French champagne's to my palate.

Pale golden straw color. Yeasty with small tight bubbles. This has lost some of the citrus zest flavor from a year or two ago. Probably hung on to this a year too long. Does not change my opinion of Schramsberg as the premier sparkling wine producer in the US.

Served double blind. Noticeably heavier than the 06 Vilmart served alongside it. A bruiser in comparison. Quite taut, lactic and autolytic with plenty of white bread. I had this as the french one of the pair, thinking a selosse!

Drank from a 375ml split. Very toasty and yeasty. Sweet lemon flavors with a gingery undertone. Good effervescence. Slightly disappointing given that the 2006 Blanc de Noirs was excellent.

Not like any other US sparkler I've had--but then I don't usually drink vintage bubbles from 375 mls. Honey, cinnamon toast aromas and flavors, with lots of yeast coming through in the mid palate. Fine bead, creamy mousse. Very appealing--tastes older than 2006, which I guess makes sense given the bottle size. Would definitely repeat if I got the chance.

Effusive mousse, straw colored, and showing more minerality than fruit. There's some pear, I think, but the main element seems to be a somewhat bitter (but not at all offputting) chalk or saline note. It's technically sound, with great balance and acidity. Good QPR, too, at ~$30.

San Antonio Wine Geeks - The Lew Residence (The Lew Residence): Doesn’t disappoint at this price point. Lovely dough and yeast nose with green apples on the nose. Crisp refreshing palate with a hint of citrus added to the apple flavors with a short to medium crsip mineral finish. Great balance. Lacked some body compared to the Veuve Cliquot, but at this price point delivered fantastic value.

Tasted side by side with the 2006 Schramsberg Blanc de Noir, highlighting the differences between the varietal blends.
