Moderate sediment upon opening, which I would be disappointed if a 15 year old Barolo didn't have. The other time I had this wine (6 years ago), it took almost a day to reach its apogee. This time, it seems much more expressive upon opening, although a little tired.
Brick red, with some mature flavors and a little dried fruit. My initial verdict is that I like but do not love it, but I will give it some more time before I decide whether to drink my remaining bottle soon or in another 5 years.

Monthly Tuesday group "The Dead Sparrow" #046: Barolo (By PS): Beautiful and complex bouquet with violets, cherries, rose hips, oak and autumn impressions. On the palate a fresh start with juicy acidity, some coffee and licorice, sticky tannin and slightly drying in the finish.

Very tannic but otherwise nicely balanced and complex. Best to wait a few more years.
