  • Drank over two days. Cherry, tobacco, rose petal water and leathery tannins - very typical Barolo.

As the tannins soften on the second day, the sweetness of the fruit is more apparent. There certainly is a lot of upside to patiently waiting this out for another 10 years.

  • Color is a translucent ruby. On the nose, a classic barolo profile with red fruit (cherry/strawberry), rose petal/florals, some tar, tobacco, pepper. On the palate, very grippy, overwhelming tannins at this point, this needs time in the cellar to mellow out (like at least 5-10 years). With that said, a beautiful palate of fresh cherries, tobacco, white pepper. Nice sweet and long finish. I could see this aging gracefully and being extremely good in 2035-ish.
