The interesting thing I found about this wine was that I immediately compared it to SW Michigan pinots. I was light colored like MI wines, had that sharp tang of transparency and the essence of the pinot grape, yet the flavor was what MI wines aspire to attain. Another thing too, i left this wine for about a week, maybe more, int he bottle, and it was good that far down the line. it had softened but the fruit, which was not in abundance to begin with, never really faded. I do regret not picking up another. The CT window is very narrow and I would venture it out to be 1-3 years more. This wine surprised me. Had I another I would give it three more years.

The acid seemed a bit too assertive in this wine. There was some decent cherry flavor, and maybe a hint of some floralness, but it was hard to detect above the acid.

This wine opens with rich aromas of dark fruits, with layers of citrus, cherry, mushroom, and a slight nuttiness on the nose. Flavors mirror aromas, leading with lively cherry and raspberry, complimented by notes of stone fruit, spice and leather. Silky smooth tannins and bright acid create a rich mouthfeel and well-rounded body that lead into a smooth, luxurious fruit-filled finish.

did not experience the acid, although not a lot of cherry either but red berries, herbal notes, finish was rather short
