(Willamette Valley Vineyards Elton Pinot Noir Eola-Amity Hills) An aromatically appealing Pinot with peppermint, strawberry, cherry, and tree bark. The palate is light bodied with soft, tart fruit flavors and grainy tannins. Alcohol pokes through occasionally but there is much to enjoy here. Pommard and Dijon 114 & 115 clones. Aged 11 months in French oak (38% new). 14.5% alcohol. 496 cases produced. Sample provided by winery.

Leah loves - had a hair of grapey for me, but perhaps too subtle compared to that LotEleven Pinot from RRV.

Wine Blogger's Conference 2012- Oregon Wines; 8/15/2012-8/18/2012 (Portland, OR): Bright mineral with savory earth, sandalwood and cherry. Juicy and rich on the palate with darker cherry. Bright and accessible with polished fine tannin and a medium+ finish.
