  Muted nose and fading color in the glass. Nice but fading flavors of leather, dried fruits and maybe toffee on the palate with a short finish. It's not dead yet, but doesn't have much more to give and certainly won't benefit from additional time in the cellar.

  Had two bottles and the first was DOA and I was very concerned about the other bottle. Way better. Spearmint scent for the initial nose. Color was crisp and this one actually lasted a couple of hours. Smooth all the way through the meal. Again, it was a birthday celebration for Jordan.

  I was worried about this one, since the fill was so low; it was over an inch below the cork. On a Burgundy shaped bottle, that is a lot of air space. The wine showed amazingly well, with nice cassis and blackberry scented fruit and some complex mushroom notes. It did not improve over the course of the meal; the fruit seemed to dry up over time. The wine started out as a 92, but by the last sip, I would rate it an 87.
