  • My experience in drinking this wine was very different than the previous review (which admittedly is 6 yrs old). I usually associate this producer with heavily oaked wines (which I like) but this one tasted different. Though the abundance of oak is still apparent, this wine has surprisingly evolved in a very Burgundian style, with a beautiful burnt nose with notes of caramel, and walnuts with a nice rounded finish. The wine is dark yellow and cloudy, so it was likely not intended to last this long, but I think it still have perhaps 3-5 years left (though definitely not 10). This reliable producer has shown in can produce fruit forward wines that have aged in a very interesting trajectory.

  • But this bottle was completely dominated by the oak and butter flavors -- there is no fruit (left?) and it was, for me at least, barely drinkable. Some fellow tasters, who like the buttery, oaky chards thought it was OK, but not great.

  • This bottle was removed from the fridge. The initial glass was clear. The seond and following were cloudy. I thought perhaps this was because of temperature but warming made no difference. The flavor is off.

  • This wine is cloudy, with a beautiful nose of apple butterscotch. Some pear. Rich, buttery, vanilla flavors, spicy, ? nutmeg. long finish.
    I would buy this again.
