Tons of chalk dust on the nose when first opened. Turns to a bit of fruit and licorice. Very tight even with substantial breathing. A bit hot on the palate and finish. An ok wine that pairs well with food but not a good value.

- Brick color and aromas of cherry, black pepper and tobacco. It's somewhat balanced and has flavours of smokey, black currant and licorice anise with a full body. Leathery texture with a long finish - Decanted 2 hours.

Dark ruby red with glossy hue. This is not a pop & pour wines with cherry syrup and strong bitterness at the back. After it breath inside bottle for 2-3 hours, the nose now showing earth, red cherry and spice. The palate has also improved with black cherry, earth, mocha and spice. Medium finish with fresh acidity and soft drying tannins.
This bottle below my expectation when I compare it to the Avignonesi Vino Nobile di Montepulciano I tasted last year with warm leather and elegant palate. This is just a decent wines with so so QPR.

Drank this for my birthday dinner on BYO night at Gattorpardo restaurant. Decanted for 1+ hours and showed elegant, dusty tannins and powerful nose of ripe red cherries. Decent price for a noble Tuscan wine!

The Italian Wine Masters (Hilton, 1335 Avenue of the Americas, New York): This wine showed a bit of yeast on the nose, like red fruits wrapped in baking breads. On the palate, I found it to be toasty with spiced red fruits and leather.
