A medium bodied wine with a ruby red color. Opened and then decanted for several hours, it gave off a nose of red berries, earth, cocoa powder and camphor. On the palate, loads of cassis, then earth and some cocoa as well. Drinking really good now, but will be better in another 3 years.

No faults but not memorable.
Prefer Frescobaldi's Nipozzano.
