Wonderful fresh bright red cherries on day one but by the second day it had rounded and mellowed into something really special with an almost sweet earthiness mixed with darker stone fruits (plum). Great balance, length and finish.

Good>Very good showing, though better (i.e. more open) on night #2; better in the sense if was softer, easier, though I appreciated as much on both nights. Darker garnet>ruby, clear. Aromas, like the palate, are tight upon opening, though some Tuscan dust and bright, fresh red pit fruit and berries come to life. The palate is medium-bodied, still fairly coiled, but it's got a lot of potential in this vintage. Really well-balanced, 100% Sangiovese raised in older Tonneau, these grapes are organically grown, and are picked at ideal ripeness as indicated by the plentiful fruit and fine, lightly sweet tannins. Excellent food wine, and one that should hold/improve for the next 5-7 years quite easily; likely best in 1-2 more years, actually. Will definitely be repurchasing, probably by the case. 15,0% abv (fully resolved, seemed more like 13,5%). recommended+
Full bodied, dry but still juice, tannic, with dark cherry. Well balanced full bodied Italian red. Drinkable on its own but paired well with Waygu skirt steak.
