Solid blackberry nose. Cranberry and black cherry upfront. Back end black cherry and raspberry, with some acidity and tannins. Nice length. Not for those seeking subtle, a good upfront Cali. 13%

Color: dark purple. Nose: not much except tight floral black cherry Taste: drank bottle over 2 hours Started mostly fruit with flowery backbone; black fruit, most black blackberry and cherry, juniper, rose, no oak at all, soft lacking acidity, opened after a couple hours, oaky notes emerged toasted almond which augmented the fruit. One can recognize the classic bordeaux blend but knows it is California. Drinking now - would not hold unless you enjoy oak - regardless not more than a year (2011). Note: This reviewer has adversion to oakiness.

Consumed over ~3 hours. I enjoyed this bottle more than the ones from a few months ago. Subtle hints of dark fruit, blackberries and plum pit, but more characterized by underbrushy or herbal notes. Seems versatile with food, but doesn't really stand out in any way. Not in decline, but I'm not sure what this might evolve into.

A nose of dark fruit and spice, dark ruby in color. A full bodied easy drinking blend, black cherry, black currants, spicy oak. I visited Trefethan’s in March, beautiful property and tasting room, a must visit if you are going to Napa.
