Deep ruby color. Blackberries, cherries, licorice, baking spices, cedar, dried herbs, and some vanilla on the nice and easy going nose. Medium body with solid, chalky tannins and good acidity. Nice fruit and spicy oak on the palate with some dried herbs. The finish is a bit short and mostly oak and dried herbs. Nice, easy drinking blend, but nothing too special. Good value for under $20.

This deep ruby wine (a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Malbec) was splash-decanted and serially tasted over 2-3 hours. The nose requires an hour or more in decanter to fully strut its stuff, with classic aromas of cassis, chocolate and exotic spices. Medium-bodied on the palate, with medium acidity, medium sweet tannins and well-integrated alcohol (listed as 13.5%). The flavors are in line with the nose, but the mouth texture and middle palate are thin. The finish, while smooth, is short-to-medium in length. This may pick up some weight with some short-term cellaring, but at this stage I am underwhelmed. Drink 1/13-12/16.

Nice nose. A little oak, some chocolate, and some red fruit. Palette is mostly fruit with a little cocoa and the finish is super smooth. A hint of sweetness on the backend. Overall pretty run of the mill, but with excellent balance and silky tannins. An easy drinker. Probably won't buy again at $18 though.

nice everyday blend, light and easy but not much going on. Medium tannins and body, chocolate and blueberries but more of a vox populi blend

Average wine, a little disappointing given the winery.
