my last bottle turned out very nice, a fairly simple but enjoyable offering, no big layering but good dark fruit concentration topping a medium soft bottom end of tannin with occasional top notes of licorice and dried fruit....corked and was a little better second night

opens over 2hr, a slight brown rim, has developed some nice layering on the nose and palate with anise, black cherry with a bit of leather over soft tannins, a wonderful surprise for holding

The backbone of this wine is Cabernet Sauvignon. Cabernet Franc and Malbec bring both softness and floral fruit components, Petit Verdot adds intense color and structure, while Merlot adds lively spice and herbal character. Aged in French and American oak for one year, this is a lovely Bistro-style wine. A real crowd-pleaser, from the inky extraction on the sides of the glass to the classic currant and cassis nose filled with plums, mint, spice and flavor. Smells like cinnamon toast soaked in a fruity Lalande-de-Pomerol. The palate is lush and round, yet has a nice balance of acidity, oak and tannins. More California in flavor with sweet spices such as cloves and cinnamon mixing with a healthy dose of kirsch. Tasty goodness.

lush, very good by itself, but really sailed with the steak.
