Great Bordeaux and an elegant Pauillac. So much black currant in the nose so you would think it is made solely of Cab Sauvignon. Still elegant and a light Pauillac, rather like a St Julien in style. Maybe the year is showing. The taste is rich and ripe, some liquorice, but excellently balanced and a lively texture, a fine acidity adding to it! Very good match to the reindeer fillet I had prepared.

CdB Annual Dinner- wow what a surprise! This is delicious. Plenty of tobacco and cherry infused fruit, medium plus bodied, fresh and uplifting with a rich ripe and richness to it. This is so good! James said it contains up to 25% of 1990 which is why it might be a bump up as the 1991 vintage was badly affected by frost.

I love this! Day 2.: Astonishing! Tannic beast with everything that makes Bdx amazing! Given a 4-5 hr decant today was liberating! This will grow more!
For stashers: Drink a lot after aeration or: keep!

What a happy surprise! Shitty year producing an amazing wine :-) Elegant, strong-headed Bdx in a traditional way. Wow! Red berries and primary (!) fruit that is simply astonishingly beautiful. Lean and amazing in the best possible way!
Get one! Will keep long!

As elegant a left bank Bordeaux as there is. Blackcurrant, blackberry, tobacco, old leather, dried green herbs, pencil shavings. There is an astringency throughout. This wine has great structure; but the tannins are mostly gone. Drink now!
