Still trailed Bevan Wildfoote in a side-by-side lunch of deli sandwiches... four drinkers 93,93,94,94. A lovely Bordeaux that probably could use more time. Gave it a 3-hour double decant, but it was still a bit closed, tasted like it was holding back. A treat nevertheless!

Bought en primeur. Just opened two bottles. Considering the supposed pedigree here and vintage, very underwhelming. Remember the sales promotion back then was that 2010 was one of greatest vintage ever. Currently disjointed. Don’t bother with this until it decides to get in shape in x years time. I hope the true colors will be revealed.
Christmas Eve dinner at Wimborne. Drank in Grassl Cru. So good. Gotta say Lynch-Bages probably one of my favourite Bordeaux Chateau. Appearance is clear, deep intensity, purplish ruby colour. Legs. Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of cedar, tobacco leaf, blackcurrant, nice cassis, thin layer of light grilled green herbs. Developing. On the palate, dry, good high acidity, medium+ alcohol (13.5%), smooth high tannins with good grip, full body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of blackcurrant, dark berries, nice dark cassis, cedar, vein of pencil lead. Long satisfying finish. Excellent quality. Open and expressive, but not in a flamboyant way like 2010 Cos d'Estournel. Classic sophistication.

2010 Was a Good Vintage in France (Jordan's Place - Chicago IL): Open 6 hours, 2 in decanter. Rocha nd ripe with enchanting aromas. Firm and dense on the palate that isn’t quite as accessible but giving a clear sense of its future glory, 2035-.
