  Served at wine dinner with friends, note from memory. Appearance: Clear, deep ruby-purple. Nose: Clean, medium+ intensity with developing aromas of cassis, blackberry, graphite, bell pepper, cedar, and nutmeg. Palate: Dry, medium acid, medium+ tannin, full body, medium+ intensity, 14.8% abv with developing flavors of ripe cassis and blackberry, graphite, and bell pepper with a medium+ finish. Deep and brooding showing very well but leaving the impression there is much more inside to reveal in the coming years. 92+

  Yeow!Llike a firecracker! Big and bold and oh so delicious with that standing rib roast. It was tannic but not puckery, lots of dark fruit like blackberries, juicy and earthy at the same time. Wonderful lingering finish.
