  • Deep, dark reddish-purple garnet; opaque in color. Full, forward & fragrant nose of dark fruit aromas of dark cherries, blackberries & plums with overtones of earthy/dusty & floral notes, spices, herbs, cocoa/coffee, anise, tar, minerals & hints of oak/vanilla in the background. Medium-full bodied, with very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, plush, ripe dark fruit flavors of dark cherries, blackberries & plums with earthy, dark cocoa, spices, herbs, minerals & a hint of oak/vanilla. Lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present with decanting & extended airing although it should develop further with additional aging. An indicative blend of 65% Sangiovese, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon & 10% Malvasia Nera.

  • Borders on Bolgheri. Sangiovese blend with Malvasia Nera and Cabernet.
Medium plus nose shows funk, earth tones, red and black fruit layers, rose stem, pretty style. Palate matches with game, red plum, blackberry, that Italian feel of age even in it's youth, structure is there with med plus tannins, body, alcohol (15%), nice balance, and should age beautifully. Fun selection.
