I found the wine overly acidic for a brawling Barosaa Shiraz. Dark, stewed fruits on the nose and palate. Fairly one dimensional. Not as fat and deep as I hoped. Nice to drink for $20/btl but definitely not $50/btl. No way.

Early but already very tasty. Lots of fruit, lots of supporting detail. Blueberry predominates on the nose and carries an assertive presence to the palate, where notes of black tea, pepper, charcoal and expensive dark chocolate appear. Echos of black licorice and tar on the finish. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins. Decanted an hour, served at 65 degrees.

WVWG meetup selection along with '21 Blue-Eyed Boy. Not as much character as the Mollydooker, but quite pleasant. Less complex.

Needs a little more time, but still drinkable. Surprisingly savory and opens up as it airs.
