All pro's did not think this would age, except WA! Still a classic The Struie, massive ripe black berry and blueberry, dark and delicious, easy 3 more peak years.

Still pretty juicy but flavours now dominated by tertiary.
Medium to deep color, quite garnet.
Medium plus nose once opened with dark cherries, stewed plums, earth, tar, black pepper and chocolate
Medium acid, medium plus tannins but very soft now. Full body, clearly high alcohol. Decent finish but not as long as younger bottles. Juicy cherries and plums, but more stewed then fresh. A little mint and pepper. Earthy with milk chocolate on the finish.

Took 1.5L to a dinner party with good friends. Acquired at a charity auction ~15 years ago, so was a bit nervous how it would be. First taste the wine appeared acid forward, but that blew off and the wine opened up within 15 min or so.
A lot of black cherry and an earthiness to the nose that lasted throughout the meal. Still had some fruit left - probably due to it being a magnum. Well rounded on the palate with a medium finish. Everyone enjoyed it and it paired well with the Chicken Marbella.

In the decanter for an hour or so before drinking. Wine is definitely bricking, quite amber with a tinge of brown. Bouquet is faint and faded, no longer a predominant feature. Black baked fruits once existed, however now soft and less apparent. Structure of the wine is barely holding up but was ok enough to drink. Sadly this is past its best, albeit it was pleasant enough and great to try. Probably should have drunk this a few years ago. My score reflects a little patriotism for what the wine probably was.

Gee this is ageing well. Still flooded with deep fruit, lashings of licorice, charry oak and spices. Not from a renowned vintage in South Australia but this is excellent, well balanced, great length and ticks most of the boxes for me.
