Dark red, almost impenetrable. Liquorish and blackberries, Torbreck signature. Fleshy medium bodied. Tasty with good finish. I think this is a touch overripe compared to other Torbreck wines I have had. This is alright but below my expectations, having had over a dozen Torbreck reds before.

Wine Club - Aussie Shiraz Theme: A much more refined wine than I was anticipating. You really get a sense of the quality of the fruit. This is plush with very fine tannins. In a perfect place now and I don't know if/how this gets any better. Just an incredibly well-made wine.
*Drank this in a lineup of other similarly priced Aussie Shiraz. This was the group's favourite*

Comes from hilly Eden Valley, made by blending its 40 year old grapes with 80 year old Barossa Valley grapes, aged for 20 months in FR oak, 20% new. Deep opaque purple colour, ruby hue. Intense aroma of blackberries, blueberries, herbs, baking spice, tar, leather. Full body, at this stage it feels scattered and over-concentrated powerful fruit driven explosion with spice and chocolate hints, medium- acidity, medium tannins. Requires few more years to integrate.

Really beautiful wine. Full-bodied and carries the alcohol well. Really enjoyable and unsure how much better this can get.
