Simply delicious! And a perfect match for leek tart in the Alsace style. No sign of the hint of sulphur I noted last time - just lovely orchard fruit and citrus aromas, and a her pie but fresh palate.

A great everyday Riesling in the feinherb style, beautifully balanced between acidity and sweetness that Germany does so well. A touch of sponti, but predominantly apple on the nose. More apple and a bit of white peach on the palate. A very versatile wine that paired with a lemony ginger cucumber salad, as well as roasted mushrooms and shallots with Zaatar and tarragon.

Another delicious bottle. An aroma I'm getting this time, and which I didn't notice last time - or at least not significantly enough to mention - is a hint of sulphur. Certainly not unpleasant, in fact it adds to the mix interestingly. I imagine it will fade away with a few years. Otherwise, notes very much as last time. Recommended.

Very pale straw. Wow, what a fantastic aroma of ripe citrus - almost tropical - fruit. On the palate there's a broadness to it, which I would often think of as a negative in a Riesling, but in this case it makes complete sense. A hint of some petrolly substance too - but very subtle; it may come to the fore with age. I find myself unable to conjure up words to describe this; it is somehow both immediately enjoyable and evidently complex. A full body from residual sugar, well balanced by acidity. In short, a complete joy. Screwcap, 10.5%.

Good taste with a healthy pricetag. Lemon and petroleum with a slight touch of sweetness...
