100% Cabernet Sauvignon. Spicy and fruit-first with cassis and licorice and a kiss of American oak, but wonderfully balanced. Ready but has a lot left in the tank. New World meets Old. Always a treat.

Visually thick and bricking. Angelic seductive ocean diesel bouquet. Teriyaki jerky. Perfectly balanced prune and celery acidity. Burnt brownie. And above all and despite the textured sophistication, quaffable, easy, and delicious. An incredible wine at 24 years old.

Cork crumbled, so I had to do some delicate surgery. First small pour worried me, smelling and tasting off. But then this turned around and just continued to improve over the 3 hours until it was gone. Red fruit still showing, dried flowers, nice acidic backbone and soft tannins. Everyone enjoyed this, not as a novelty, but as a very fine wine. Delicious.
