Drank this next to the Gruaud-Larose 1928. This wine is magically in shape and no doubt a rare experience to drink a wine of 93 years that is simply heavenly. Incredibly harmonious with wonderful freshness. The age lends this wine an almost healing dimension: A soothing elixir, telling you that life actually can be truly caring and wonderful. A wonderful experience and actually one of the best Cos d'Estournel's I have ever had the pleasure to drink! Wow!

Excellent nose, high projection, super farmy and soily and even a little wild animal. Also has floral detail as well as mineral. Detailed and complex nose that has a bit of everything. Rustic and scorched earth too. Shockingly fresh. Like, unbelievable. Seems to be growing and putting on weight and power with air. Rich red fruit still has punch and grip on the palate. Texturally has soft edges but plenty of lush red flavour and the tannin still has grip. Guesses in the blind group centred around '82 or '70. Shocking how well that showed, although it does fall off after an hour. 94 - 95.

Acker BYO 2018 (Tribeca Grille): This was very interesting. It's almost like an amarone or port-like consistency. Some similar flavors. Like raisin and dried fruits. Would not have guessed the year - clearly aged but surprising that it's still drinking this well this many years later.

Fresh and with great acid. Some residual wood resin notes. Still some tannins and tack on the finish. Background tobacco notes. Very nice bottle.
