Medium red. Candied fruit and cola give way to pine needles, ripe cherry, and more tart red fruit components. Medium weight. Mostly cranberry in the mouth with vibrant acidity and a strong savory/mineral finish. Excellent.

Tasting at Ceritas (Healdsburg, California): Medium depth center, light rim. Beautifully open aromas of char, red fruit, and fresh cut flowers. Open and elegant, far less bulky than the 2015. Gently sweet red fruit, discrete oak, a bit of cola, finishing citric twist, low tannins, and a fine soil finish. This was a strikingly delicious, interesting wine which was the most approachable of the 3 consecutive vintages of the Elliott that were poured.

USA-kjennerne blant oss mente dette var "more pinot than burgundy".

Bright red fruit, crunchy acidity, singing nicely after an hour of air.

Delicious. Dark cherry, so pure.
