Probably one of the most interesting white out of Chardonnay from Australia, well Sémillon is actually great as well ! But still I am sorry not to have one more of those...

Nose of M+ Intensity, with lors of floral notes, lined, honeysuckle, honey, bee wax, creamy nose, ripe stone fruits, ripe peach, almonds, a hint of walnut, really complex and varied

Palate is surprisingly fresh and good in acidity, Dry, M Alcohol, M+ Body, M+ Acidity, M IOA, lots of sweet yellow peach, honeysuckle, bee wax, honey, cream cheese, and more tertiary than the nose, almonds for sure, the wallnuty character less intense, but the wine is nicely balanced over a fat oily texture and a good acidity. Very long aromatic wine, with a lot of aromas left of mint and aromatic herbs, ...

Outstanding in terms of WSET, but I d just say that the wine is quite remarkable as for the length and complex aromas, it has an oily middle palate and lingers over bee wax, minty, eucalyptus, and almond notes, the acidity holds well as well in a salty salivating balanced yet powerful wine, still pushing after 1 minute !

  • Herbal, green characteristics on the nose here. Much paler in appearance compared to the semillon. Green pear and a touch of buttery richness on the nose too; creamy, dairy impression. Not overtly fruit-driven. Pithy. Oak character dominates here. Could improve with age?
