Roussanne-Marsanne-Viognier. From magnum. Initially reticent, particularly compared to the expressiveness of the 2013, but seems to be a wine of tremendous depth, continually improving in the glass. The nose resembles tarte tatin: apple, pastry, oak, cream, and a hint of cinnamon. The palate is beautifully structured: full-bodied, yet light and crisp. Flavours of rockmelon, green apple, and mineral water, with hints of caramel and jasmine. With time, the wine also develops a racy, salty character, adding flavour notes of oyster, lemon pith, and apricot.
