Still a nice wine, but slightly uninspiring. Dark amber with a black core. Classic nose dominated by sweet cherries, tobacco, warm earth. The tertiary tones are beginning to take over. Medium to full bodied attack, somewhat rustic tannins on the mid palate together with some fine tones of tobacco and a hint of vanilla. Fine sweetness on the finish with just about enough acidity to balance the alcohol sweetness. Good length. A fine wine , reasonably priced, but - in lack of better words - somewhat boring. Maybe I’m a spoiled child.

Decanted 2 hours. Needs air. Medium dark brick red/black'ish color. Nose was a bit muted at first. Opens up with air. Palate is dark berries, cherries, spice. Medium to long finish. It is a very nice bottle, however it will improve with more bottle time.

Did not decant. Took a sip every 15-20 minutes to taste the evolution of the wine. This started very closed and I rated it 89-90. As the wine evolved it kept getting better and ended at 93 point on my palate.

Love this Brunello. Classic with red cherry, cedar, leather and hints of tobacco. High acidity and a nice tannic finish despite 12 years of age.

Un peu acide et maigre à l’ouverture. Meilleurs vers la fin de la bouteille. Quand même un bon vin, loin d’un bon RQP.
