  • This wine improved a bit since last year. The color was limpid green-gold. Again, classic Tokaji nose of apricots (or was that the apricot clafoutis that it was served with), violets, tangerines and hydrocarbons. Richer on the palate than last year with lovely botrytised fruit flavors; mango, white grapes, orange. Nice acidity to balance it all.

  • Classic Tokay. Beautiful rich gold color. Nose of apricots, coconut, jasmine and tangerines. On the palate it wasn't as rich as I would hope but still quite nice with loads of fruit. Good acidity to cut the sweetness.

  • In the glass, amber with an orange tint. Fragrant floral, fruity, and slightly alcoholic nose. On the palate, a syrupy texture with notes of pears and apricots, with a typical Tokaji sweetness. Not a profound dessert wine, but certainly acceptable when you're in the mood for a sweet wine. We'll see how the rest of the bottle holds up over the course of the week.
