Same as the bottle drunk a few months ago. Mostly tertiary flavors, unlike the 1995, which is still showing some up front fruit. The sweet nose and distant dark cherry, earth, and tobacco notes are enjoyable, though as this Tapestry is nearly 30 years old now, the 1994 seems to be more a wine for fans of aged Bordeaux. Went perfectly with grilled chicken.

This was the first bottle of the 1994 Tapestry that I’ve had in many years. What was most interesting was the comparison to the 1995, of which I’ve had a couple in the last couple of years. While the 1994 (this bottle anyway) was solely tertiary flavors, the 1995 still has delectable primary fruit. The 1994 was very enjoyable - drunk over two days - though its flavors were of a well-aged Bordeaux blend: distant dried cherry, tobacco, and earth.

Drinking well as a classic aged Bordeaux blend - leading red fruit with trailing acidity but dominated by tertiary notes. Herbaceous, earthy, with aged cheese notes. Could have lasted several more years.
