I had a bottle a few months ago that was undrinkable. I opened a second bottle last night. Wow, what a different. Fruit was present, fresh, vibrant, good color. I could rate higher given 33 years old. I have 4 more bottles. It will be interesting to see which wines shows up.

The wine was or is sound. Unfortunately, aromas, flavors are up to your imagination. I am not sure when it peak was put perhaps 15 years ago. When you buy too much wine you can't get to them all. The remaining bottles will be discarded. 55 degree storage since release. Start with a better wine and then tell stores of what you were doing in 1987 and it will take better. When you are in your 60s and you think back to your 30s everything looks better. :)

Really lovely. After about 30-45 minutes the wine opened up. Dark color and mellowed tannins...was it worth a 24 year wait, maybe, maybe not. Certainly peaking, so enjoy!

What a surprise. Lovely twist between a preserve quality where the tannins have become sweet and an edgy structure. Really delivered in both interest and enjoyment. Took about 30 min to bloom and really held for a couple hours. Fat and plush in a mature body. Leather, plum cake, VO-5. Silky texture and nice length to the finish with heath. Maybe it is a mental thing, but very much a baby Grange matured into a somewhat zaftig, but sexy adult.
