  1997 Vintage. Cork seal in excellent condition. Upon opening this wine was clearly in outstanding condition based on deep purple colour and vibrant full fruit aroma. Plenty of black fruits, smoke, leather on the nose and tasting concurred with chocolate and fruit punching through the textured tertiary notes and leather with a long pleasant finish. Amazing wine experience. A bit unexpected that these a tasting so well given the weaker 1997 vintage year.

  1997 Red brick colour. Nose of cedar, leather, menthol, tabacco, fruit showing after a bit of time to open up. Round fruity and very smooth palate. Still plenty of freshness and a lovely long finish. Tannins still gummy. Very enjoyable!

  Deep garnet, bottle decanted for around 30 mins to wake a bit. Perfume still exists, fruit is still apparent with forest, woody perfume. Still tastes its fruits and holding up quite well, flavours did not fade after opened for hours.

  Nose - currant, tobacco and cedar. In mouth - full bodied, cedar, tobacco, leather, violet and cinnamon finish. Very fruit forward. Medium finish with dry tannin/cinnamon left in mouth.

  13 years from when I made a last note - still going really strong. Plenty of fruit on the nose. Needs to open - first taste still closed.
  Long lasting legs.
  Poured a taste through aerator. Much softer and fruitier.
