Deep ruby. On the nose medium intensity aromas of black plums, wet clay, black currants, sweet tobacco, ripe black cherries. On the palate the wine is dry with high acidity, medium plus fine lush tannins, medium alcohol, full body. The flavor intensity is medium plus with black plums, wet clay, black currants, sweet tobacco, ripe black cherries, vanilla, toast. The finish is medium plus with a lingering of vanilla and toast. The wine is truly at its peak, drinking beautifully now. The wine is well balanced with the fruit nature balanced by the acidity, tannins and body. There is complexity and intensity on the nose and palate and the finish lingers. I wish I had more of this 2013 PV.

Medium ruby color. On the nose, red cherries and red plums also some violets. on the palate the wine is dry with medium plus acidity and tannins. Tannins are slightly green but fine textured. There are red and black fruits (blackberry juice) on the palate, medium plus body and a medium finish. Overall this is a good wine for a VA wine, single varietal petit verdot.
