This wine is a powerhouse. Layers of rich complex flavors of dark fruits, a hint of smoke, & leather. Initially it tasted really hot & delivers nearly 15% alcohol. Took awhile to integrate in the glass (2+ hours) so give it time to open to enjoy at its best. Perfect w grilled lamb. Strawberries tossed w blueberry balsamic vinegar brought out blueberry notes. Delicious. This wine still has years to go.

The nose comes across more old world in approach, showing tones of leather, black current, asian spice, and topsoil. The front end of the palate is focused with lean dark berry components and earth. The mid-palate is strong, focusing more on sour cherry and cocoa powder. The wine finishes with medium to long length, consisting of tart red fruit and fine, but firm tannins. It is medium bodied and a bit lean, yet with sound structure and refreshing acidity. It comes across well made but obviously young, and we see it getting better with a few years in the bottle. R&M 87

Full bodied dark red color with dark fruit and woods on the palette. Enjoyed with Schzechuan lamb roast.

Smells of black pepper, currants, + leather. Tastes of spicy red currants & smoke. Deep, rich, velvety, & round. Medium-Full bodied.
