A deep and brooding core with blood on the rim. Cinnamon, brown sugar, plum, blackberry and other dark fruits. Although a medium mouthfeel as to weight, it nevertheless is rich, textured with fine tannins that have not fully integrated and won’t for several years. This is a big wine, but not as big and extracted as I recall the Chrysalis being. Nevertheless, one to put down for another 5 years or so. 13/1% alc. With flank steak. Good pairing but this would stand up to a lot more. After the motion to strike success in the Harris/Dedrick Estate case.
