This bottle came alive on the second night. Aromatics are crazy, you'll have to forgive me for not coming up with the perfect descriptors there. White pepper palate, it has that, too, not to worry, but the aromatics take it to another level.

Off the by the glass list from Filling Station in LAX. Pretty much wanted something to mellow me out for the flight so it was easier to sleep through the red eye. This does that. It was served a bit cold and I think I appreciated that. Added to the refreshment value. Also made a nice pairing to some of the more spicy bites I got (deviled eggs with a kick). It's green apple and lemon and a hint of just general greenness that works ok for it. Not a great wine, but if I saw it on the menu and it was well priced I'd order it again.

This was very good and would certainly look to drink it again but felt like the flavors were just a bit muted. Great minerality and freshness though. Fantastic food wine.

At this stage, the bouquet is modest but suggests white nectarines and canned pineapple. On the palate, I tasted pineapple, Meyer lemon, and honeydew melon. It's a lively wine with high acidity, which made it refreshing against the salt and oil in the Salade Niçoise. Highly recommended

Another solid Gruner from Tatomer. Stone fruit, canned green beans, white pepper, bright acidity, salinity. Smaragd quality for sure.
