Decanted for 30 minutes but continued to improve through the first glass. This bottle showed as well as our previous bottle some 8+ months ago. Dark red fruit and earth on the nose that carry over to the medium bodied palate along with a good dose of spice and freshly balancing acidity. Could continue to hold at this high level for several years.

Style is built for the long haul and this bottle was still going strong after more than a decade. Loads of raspberry and violet notes. I'd say it still has 1-2 years before it starts to fade. Wonderful juice.

Wonderful aromas of black cherry and currants with lively black cherry, spice, and cedar notes on the velvety palate and long finish. Classic Sea Smoke!

PnP and the wine was a bit closed. Decanted for 20 minutes and continued to improve (darkening and opening) with more air. This bottle showed as well as, if not a tad better, than our previous bottle in June '22. A clear medium violet in the glass. Lots of dark red fruit along with some earth on the nose. The medium bodied palate showed these dark red fruits (black cherry, blackberry, cranberry, raspberry), a touch of bramble, some spice, and a good dose of earth. The acidity was balancing and the tannins were integrated. This wine is drinking well right now and should provide drinking enjoyment for several years - with some air up front.

Burst of spices and red fruits. Drink soon, this one is fading quickly compared to the one I had 1 year ago.
