Unfortunately, we found this to be more tired than anything else. Substantial structure is still there but only a hint of raspberry remains. Drink up if you have this.

This wine is truly special !! At Peak !! The cork was perfect after over a decade in the bottle and easily removed. This is a balanced Pinot Noir that I consumed at dinner with friends. Deep ruby color with no oxidation, clarity medium. Aromas of pomegranate and rose hips, flavors of red fruit compote, rhubarb, and marine soil with a pleasant medium to long finish. Popped and poured, this wine really benefited from gentle oxygen since it was much more soft and integrated after an hour. Great fruit with firm acidity made into a very balanced Pinot Noir from the ten best barrels from the Seasmoke Vineyard in the Santa Rita Hills appellation of Santa Barbara County by the cool Pacific Ocean along the San Ynez River canyon. Great winemaking making this Pinot Noir is an age worthy wine and has many more years of life left. I have no more bottles of this vintage remaining in my cellar.

Unfortunately no positive change since last tasting of this one. Consensus was it was a Zin or maybe Grenache. Don’t think this vintage will see any improvement with more time.

Still worth drinking. Fruit beginning to wane, but tasty. Fine finish.

Past it’s prime. I was hoping for something interesting but the fruit faded and there was nothing else there.
