Coravin'd and tasted. Very brightly colored. Clear and bright. Nice perfume on the nose with citrus brioche, lanolin and white flowers. There's a smoky note as well. Deep, rich and quite lively on the palate with juicy flavors of preserved lemon, quince with a touch of vanilla and other sweet spices. The flavors are lifted by more than adequate acidity and the refreshing finish goes on and on. The once abundant oak is is now completely integrated. Remarkable at 13 years of age. Drink now through 2018. Note: a second bottle from the same case, tasted side-by-sid, was more advanced.

This is my best experience yet with Chaleur Estate Blanc. The nose is dominated by butterscotch candy, smoke, and oak. Surprisingly I find a lot of spice in the palate. I also get vanilla, lemons, and butterscotch. Best of all it shows a lush, buttery mouthfeel. Despite the heavy oak, this wine is well balanced in the mouth.

Bright. Still fruity. Tropical. Dill. Touch of caramel. Pineapple. Grapefruit pith. Aging well. Very interesting. Pdq91

Malo and some woody notes really poked out. Not interesting enough beyond that. Pleasant, but probably not my style of white.
