Medium brick red. A bit of dirt on the nose with red cherries. Medium acidity (5.5/10) with a medium body. A bit dry on the palate with red sour cherries, and earthiness. Medium length finish.

Notes made for the final glass of a bottle that had been opened two days earlier, though there was little change in bouquet or character over that time. Dark brick-ruby color with a light haze and clear, quick legs. Tiny amount of sediment. Young red berry and spicy floral aroma, very light oak notes. Palate seems on the verge of reaching that smooth and harmonious tone of maturity but isn’t quite there, yet. Probably another 2-3 years to see its best but this might hold up for a good long time under the twist-top. Not sure I would pick it blind as an Aussie GSM, but it is pretty easy to rule it out as originating from the Rhône. 4+11+17+8= 90

Beautiful nose but a serious disappointment on the palate. Acid and lack of fruit. Sad
