Woow! What an amazing wine!! This was a perfect balance between it's yougness and it's oldness. Had the sweetness of an old wine and still the power of a young wine. It was the PERFECT moment to drink that one.

Pop and poured
Open for business.
Barnyard, mint, lots of fruit just not sure what, some sweetness,
Full bodied. Medium + Length of earthy black fruit tannin.
Great wine. Love it. Tannic, so can definitely still keep for a good few years.

Alcohol out of balance. Hard and unyielding. Not good. Could be an off bottle, but no discernible taint. Not looking forward to the next one.

TN: 2003 Red Bordeaux (Union des Grands Crus de Bordeaux Tasting); 1/26/2006-1/27/2006 (Drake Hotel, Chicago, Illinois): I think this is the first time I have had a wine from this estate. Notes of black fruit and green pepper. This had some underbrush or forest floor nuances as well. Dry finish. 89-91 points.

A muted nose, with hints of anis. The palate is slightly tepid, with notes of fruit but a feeling of dilution.
