Great WV pinot. Very funky on the nose, but that blew off. Tart cherry and earth on the palate. Lacks a little concentration to be a great wine, but it's what I expect in an entry level wine. Energetic and very enjoyable.

The nose is quite pleasing. It's concise but very inviting with rich red fruits, brown sugar and spice with some floral and stem notes. The palate is on the sweeter side for me, but it's balanced wonderfully for being so young. The tannins sneak by somewhat unnoticed and the acidity shows up nicely on the back end. This is as good as anyone could ask for in terms of a pop and pour food wine. It screams BBQ on 4th of July weekend. Get it while you can.

Taste: Nice and balanced medium body with medium+ acidity. The acidity is a bit noticeable along with tones of cherries, spices, and red florals.
Overall: This is a very good pinot noir. It shows a lighter side to it with very good balance, but it just slightly lacks some depth. It's a very pretty wine right now and should develop with a few more years.

Fruit on the nose and in the mouth. Not a lot of subtlety but that's ok... not my favorite vintage but this is ok

Willamette Valley Wines presents: Pinot in the City (City Winery, Chicago, IL): Nose: Pretty and perfumed nose of cherries, spice tones, red florals, and bits of red berries. While it's very aromatic, it is lacking some depth.
