Páskasmakk Eðalklúbbsins. Apríl 2023. (Marbakkabraut 12): Frekar ljós litur. Farin að koma fram öldrunarmerki í lit. Jarðarber og beiskja í lykt. Líka fjós, hindber, anís og brjóstsykur. Falleg lykt. Á tungu sæta og jarðarber. Í sætasta lagi fyrir minn smekk. Björgvin talaði um að það væri í grænasta lagi fyrir hans smekk. Samt ágætis vín og áhugavert að geta keypt 10 ára gamalt pinot noir vín í vínbúðum.

So much acidity and tannins it overpowered any taste. Maybe a bad bottle. Typically Coastal Pinots are my preferred style. Lighter and less tannins. Hopefully this was an anomaly.

Tough vintage for Adam - also found this at my local Costco. Black cherry, plum, sassafras and creamy (sweet) root beer on the nose; black cherry and root beer on the palate. Medium bodied. Creamy sweet finish. Not a typical Sonoma Coast pinot, but then Sonoma is a very large AVA...

Joined Siduri wine club at the warehouse in June and finally cracked our first bottle. Very glad we joined. Nice cherry and dark fruit flavors. Nicer balanced tannins than expected.

We're big fans a of Siduri and we were shocked that this bottle was so difficult to enjoy. We purchased it from our local Costco and there may have been problems with shipping and/or storage as this wine tasted like it had heat exposure. You can count it as "flawed" but I put the 77 up there to warn people who shop at Costco (Rocklin, CA) that this wine is not up to the standards we are used to from Adam Lee. NOTES: Cherry and plum on the nose with sour earthiness. Flavor is stemmy and acid level pronounced overpowering the fruit flavors. Sharp acidic finish

Open one day. This is a very fine pinot, especially for the $23 I paid for this. Strong ruby color with excellent legs. Effusive nose of cherries and boysenberry. Almost like candy. Palate follows the nose. Very ripe but nowhere near fat or overdone. Medium body. This just glides across the tongue and segues into a lovely finish. Excellent balance of all elements. This is not incredibly complex, but it is a treat to drink. 4-12-16-9: 91/100.

Opened not decanted. I'm hoping that the Jackson Family purchase of Siduri will not affect the pricing of their entry level wines. Hope springs eternal: every buyout has a price increase. This and the Novy Chardonnay have been my go to favorites for splurge buying for summer drinking without worrying about the "am I worthy" conundrum when it comes to opening a bottle mid week with or without a dining companion. I popped this as I was waiting for my wife to come home from work and the UPS guy to deliver a case of Novy Chardonnay. Glad I opened it. Paired with a large salad with a cold chopped chicken breast left over from last night's dinner.
Cherry, licorice and redwood on the nose. On the entry, strong cherry notes, light to medium weight in body; some elevated alcohol, charcoal smoke, and a drying tannic finish (if left too lomg on the palate) with bright and sharp (alcohol) cherry notes. A superb wine for the value (and I don't even remember what I paid, $22, $24?). Good to Very Good.

This is plush and well-defined during the medium finish. Plum, kirsch, baking spices and lava rock lead the numerous nuance brigade. So expressive and more complete than the '13 Russian River Valley. A wonderful blend. Drink now - 2020.

A little too brutish for me a prefer a more delicate earthy Pinot. This is pinot for Cab lovers

See previous note. A long and gliding finish. There's a racy element as well. Drinking rather well. Drink now - 2020.

Very nice pinot. Deep rich cherry on nose and palate, along with cola and spice. Good depth and finish. Very good QPR ($23). Wish I had more.
