Great showing. Popped and poured. Purple color, rich viscosity.
Plums, menthol, light Asian spice, touch of funk.
Palate is well integrated with more purple fruit, earth and pine needles. Drink now or hold another 5 years.

Very hot upon opening.
Dark brooding blackberries, cassis, all spice and purple flowers.
Palate is rich and expansive. Some heat on the finish. Nice acidity. Still several years ahead.

Super sour cherry, rustic leather, earth and a little eucalyptus flowers.

Wow. Really nice showing and I'm surprised the drinking window here on CT ends at 2016 because this is still going strong. Really great freshness and acidity and at 15% abv on the label this was not at all cloying, heavy or hot.
Dark stewed purple fruit, smoked meat, some purple flowers. Great showing.

Plush, ripe, floral, elegant and still incredibly young.
Barely saw any signs of age. Similar to last notes. Maybe a bit more open though.
Classic HSS elements - plums, cassis, violets, tons of mocha. Long long finish.
Absolutely mouth coating. Still got some of that heat I noticed last time around but not nearly as intrusive.
Overall very nice.

Showed well. More fruit than many Cayuse. Still had the sense of some Syrah with meaty undertones.

Little muted at first on the nose. Not as rich and oak driven as many Aubert.
More mineral focus. Really nice but a little short on the finish and lacking some of the typical Aubert depth and nuance in the nose.

My style of Syrah. First experience with JL.
Funky up front. Medium dark cherries, wet dog, damp earth. Lots of peppery truffle elements too.
Palate is medium bodied, More spicy red fruit and earth.
lots of acid - still youthful as a whole. Maybe just a tad tad thinner than I'd like...
Still highly recommended especially for the price.

Spicy, elegant and VERY Napa Cab in the nose.
Big and bold. Dark cherries, cassis, graphite and a touch of green herbs.
Long finish. More dark red and spicy fruit. Showing well. Tannin are well integrated.

Juicy qualities on the nose. Ripe plums, anise, darker chocolate and a unique root beer quality on the nose.
Palate is really nice. Shows nice balance of more dusty plums, dark cocoa powder.
Moderate plus alcohol and excellent structure. Still plenty of time left to drink.

Darker savory qualities. Rustic showing a fair amount of reductive elements from a bit of age.
Dark raspberries, brown sugar, baking spices and roasted meat.
Finish is medium bodied and shows nice acid. Good example of Washington Syrah with both fruit and funk.

Super funky and a little richer and more extraction than some other Reynvaan I've tasted.
Limited notes but dark fruit, smoke and lots of funk. Some blew off but it was enjoyable.

With Looty and Stevie at Looty's new house in Bolingbrook.
Gorgeous place right now.
Restrained and completely integrated as a whole.
Rustic dark cherries, tobacco, earth and old leather.
Great lift and acid still intact. Just a hint of tannin still there.
