  • Bright red fruits. Awesome structure and grip for such a light bodied wine. Really a fantastic effort.

  • More robust qualities than I remember. Medium dark bramble berrie, some lavender laced plums and light savory smoke.
Palate has great lift and acidity. Lower alcohol doesn't give way to a lack of depth or nuance on the finish. A great wine that's showing well now but will go on for another 5 years.

  • Well, what a difference a year makes.

Opened one a year ago and was a little let down by the mid palate/finish.

A year later and that has filled out nicely and the wine has really seemed to have turned a corner.

Still very mushroomy with a touch of bret making it very old world in style. I would love to serve this wine to anyone who believes in the undisputed superiority of Burgundy over new world Pinot. It's a dead ringer.

    Recommend drinking now.

  • This bottle brought the earthy side of things to Thanksgiving dinner. Brick starting to show on the rim. Mushroomy/foresty on the nose along with a nice cherry/vermouth thing going on.

There was a little shade of Bret in there but just enough to kind of give it an old world character, not to the point of flaw.

I was hoping for a little more mid palate from this wine. It had a nice provocative nose, but just kind of ran thin on the palate. The finish is in the short side and had a certain lingering bitter walnut shell note.

  • Low in alcohol, utterly transparent, the so called "off vintages" can really be in my wheelhouse when done right and here it is. Light in weight but not thin at all this shows true to the core a slightly under-ripe cherry / strawberry base with lavender, a bit of pepper, and a bit of soil. Nicely balanced, elegant, love this producer.
