5/27/2024 - Brian of Mull Likes this wine: 93 pointsFrom 1/2 bottle. Opened for 1 hour. Color is ruby. On the nose: Mixed red and blackberries, cherry, cola, some baking spices and smells warm if that makes sense. On the palate: Red and blackberries, lots of baking spices, cola, cinnamon and some tart cassis. Young but delicious. I would give this a few years. It’s Memorial Day so an American wine makes sense to have for me. |

5/27/2024 - Cake & Fine Wine wrote: 94 pointsAnother day, another great Ridge. Concentration of a flamethrower; held by a ballerina. Well structured with complexity and great length. And such a spectrum of fruit, with a cool menthol undertone. If 2019 Ridge Zinfandel was a guitar solo, it would be Dave Gilmour - Comfortably Numb. Decanted for two hours, drank over two days…probably a 95 on day 2. 1 person found this helpful, do you? Yes - No / Comments (2) |

5/27/2024 - Everything Ahead wrote: 91 pointsThis was noticeably more oaky than a 2021 East Bench from the same producer had recently, but still there was some nice, pure red raspberry fruit behind all the burning cannabis-scented American oak. This was a crowd pleaser with BBQ ribs and will likely improve with a couple more years time for the oak to integrate. |

5/26/2024 - Bagwhat Likes this wine: 91 pointsSplash decanted for the first glass. Followed out of the decanter for 2 hours. Drank from Glasvin Expressions. Immediately expressive nose of blackberry pie, herb, vanilla. Over time this only became louder and friendlier, as if the wine itself was catching a buzz. |

5/26/2024 - Alaskawino Likes this wine: 91 pointsSlow to open up but after an hours pour very well adjusted. Try a 2 hour decanting next. Once open it shows light to moderate fruit including raspberry and cassis. Tannins and acid well balanced to complement. Not likely to improve from here. |

But with 3-4hrs air it was more of a charcoal soot thing. Palate was narrow and has some fruit so I don't think it was TCA tainted but rather starting to show more obvious smoke influence. With steaks it wasn't too bad--but on it's own when one can pontificate, it's not enjoyable. |

5/24/2024 - timewithwine Likes this wine: NRClassic Cabernet Franc (100%) with the richness of new world wines shines in the glass. Plum at its core shading to a cranberry rim. Typical Cab. Franc notes of raspberry, plum, sandalwood with some smokey cigar leaf as well. All the same on the palate where some anise or licorice appears on the satisfyingly long finish. That said, the wine doesn’t present as well as it did a few years back; maybe headed in transition. Some sediment. 13.8% alc. With brined black olives (with which the wine paired particularly well), blue cheese, moses sleeper, charcuterie (including fennel) and crusty bread. 05.24.24. Recommended. |

5/22/2024 - markydecker Likes this wine: NROne glass via Coravin for a quick taste of the vintage, from a six pack purchased from the winery. Painfully young but with all in place for extended aging. Cool climate Monte Bello fruit, laser sharp, brightly acidic. Raspberry and sour cherry, spicy and dominated by the oak at this young age. The opposite of “jammy”. 13.9 ABV. This will be another in a long line of great Jimso Zinfandels from MB. Revisit in 5 years. |
