  • Absolutely seamless, ethereal, in a happy place now drinking well but seemingly with plenty of life ahead. Really great, powerful, riesling.

  • Drank last nite in Copake w/Afghan dinner made by M and P (vs an 03, different vineyard tho). Pale strawlike color. Nose of stones and citrus. Heavy apricot and peach fruit. Light to medium bodied, fairly crisp acidity with slight sweetness up front, dry on the back end. Good acidity level. Nice wine drinking well

  • If someone happens to ask what is the perfect wine pairing for sweet potato, spinach, caramelized onion and goat cheese quesadillas, tell them this wine. I had no idea this was going to work. I had pulled the wine because it was one of my wife’s favorites, rather than for any particular food matching. Turns out I made a great choice, as the spice and orange fruit tones were a perfect foil for the food. The wine and the food were both better together. As the wine warmed up the pairing continued to improve. We had the last glass after dinner, and it was even more expressive. Should have decanted it. There’s no danger in holding this wine longer, but to my taste it is in a great place now.

  • #07-03, 8.5% abv. The nose initially has a slight bit of reduction, but there is also some herbs and a bit of yellow fruit. The palate is moderately sweet and overall well-balanced. It's not a loud wine, but one that sits fairly quietly on the palate. To my palate, ready to go now and I wouldn't be too interested in seeing how this further evolves, though that's not to say that this is on the downslope.
