  • The wine was tight at the beginning not revealing anything and I tried it in different glasses, but an oversized glass brought out serious aromas of berries, cherries and plums. Tasting it, it had light dryness and astringency from the tannins, reminding me that the wine was still young. This was a quite different Chianti, as it didn’t have that alkaline taste that some Chianti’s have and it mostly resembled a Super Tuscan. Regardless, it was a nice and tasty wine and I’m looking forward to aging the others I have in the cellar, as I got a nice deal on them before the hype of WS’s top 7 for 2023.

  • Good for price point. But will leave rest a couple of years.

  • As noted before: a really pleasurable wine in a modern and quite sweet style for a Chianti. Good with pizza (although it was a bad combination with pizza toppings of n'duja and spicy pepperoni. Drink now without having to high expectancies.

  • Giving it a few hours of air due to youth and opens up very nicely. Polite pale ruby colour in the glass. Super bright aromas of sweet ripe red fruits - strawberries, cherries, liquorice and vanilla. The palate is fresh with lovely balance and roundness. Long finish with good level of acidity and tannins showing.

Actually kept a second bottle in the fridge after opening and retasted to find it showing even better.

  • Tannins are still very present, haven’t opened up yet.
Cherry, cassis, orange peel, a little menthol aftertaste.
    Medium length.
Would suggest leaving it in cellar a couple of years or decant for at least 3 hours.
    This wine will become better.
