Haven, Tampa. Big! Big acid, big alcohol, big tannin, big pleasure. Decanted for as long as we could at the dinner table, with aggressive swirling: this significantly opened up the aromas and softened the tannins. This wine likes to be slapped around. All blackberry juiciness with a bite, lovely finish, and demands a hunk of grilled rare or medium rare meat. Masculine, juicy, alcoholic, and straightforward: sometimes just what the night calls for.

Corovin'ed a glass to see how this was coming -- I believe it has a long way to go. Broad shouldered and muscular, will need more time to fully resolve. If this fully knits together it could be something special indeed. I'm not touching a bottle for a couple more years.

Decanted for an hour. Nose and color had the deep inky notes typical of the varietal. Very surprised to taste a more balanced wine, with good fruit and medium body, which deepened with additional time. Lengthy finish. Very impressed, one of my favorite petit verdots.

Great pairing with bbq ribs, memphis-style. Decanted for several hours and it tannins mellowed nicely.

Tasty juice - too bad it's clocking in at 15+% ABV. The excessive alcohol diminishes the experience... :(
