Bottle update. This is drinking very well now, especially on pop and pour. The over-baked nature that presented itself early on is no longer a problem. This is a really nicely made PV, that is not the most complex wine, but it has "completeness" in spades, with a beautiful balance of everything. Note: this started to fall apart on day 2, losing some structure and acid. Would recommend drinking on day 1, or vinovac overnight to enjoy on day 2. Don't let this get to day 3.

Not super familiar with PV as a varietal as I normally encounter it in blends. Decanted 5 hours and served at 62 deg F. Deep purple, black fruit on the nose and palate with a little bitterness but not off putting. Dry with medium finish. Great value, look forward to seeing this develop, but really good now.

This time I did a 24-hour slow-ox and the wine was beautiful. Smooth dark cherry fruits & the alcohol was in perfect balance. Looking forward to trying again on the second night.

I think this wine is in a weird place right now. Very dark, bold wine but missing the fruit & depth of flavors I remember from summer 2021. I think I’m going to let the remaining bottles sit.

Didn't suck. Let it air out a couple hours before you drink it, if you can. For the price, I'm satisfied.
